Reaffirming its commitment to facilitate mobility in the cities where it is present, Uber will have a special promotion to help people reach the voting centers set up in the country this Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16.
The technological platform, present in 100% of the Chilean mainland, will provide trips with a 50% discount -with a ceiling of $ 2,000- to vote in the next elections. To activate this benefit, users must enter the code VOTAMAYO2021 in the Promotions section of the app before starting the trip and choose UberX or Uber Essential to get to their voting center.
“We maintain the commitment that we have had with Chile in these seven years and on such an important date as the next election we want to continue contributing with citizen mobility and participation. This promotion will not only make it easier for users of our platform to come and vote, but it will also allow us to provide more opportunities to generate profits to driving partners throughout the country, ”said Alberto Vignau, General Manager of Uber in Chile.
The promotion will be active on routes to any of the more than 2,700 voting centers available throughout the country between 07:00 and 20:00. Although in the cities that are still in quarantine in the country, UberX will not be available, users of the platform who want to use this discount will be able to request trips in Uber Essential, a new alternative in the app to make trips in areas in Paso 1 or 2 (only on weekends) with drivers who have permission to move around the city.
In addition, this promotion will offer driver members the opportunity to make trips on a day of high demand and generate profits, which will not be affected by the discount to users.
