The popular instant messaging application WhatsApp will register some adjustments in January 2021 and will stop working in some old versions of the operating systems of some cell phones.
The app , which has more than 2,000 million active users around the world, announced on its official website that in the case of devices that have Android, it will only be available for OS versions 4.0.3 or later .

With this, people who have the following references will be able to continue with the application on their cell phone, but will not be able to update it: Motorola Droid Razr, HTC Desire, Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy Nexus, LG Optimus Black and Xperia S.
Likewise, the application will only work on Apple smartphones that have the operating system iOS 9 or the following versions. Therefore, the iPhone 4s will no longer be able to count on the new WhatsApp updates.
